Kim Reynolds, a world-class ice climber, believes the outdoors is a powerful tool capable of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual transformation. Her program, Mind Over Mountains, runs retreats for women that combine activities such as hiking, yoga, and spa services with personal life coaching sessions.

Isis partners with Mind Over Mountains to give back to the women who give so much. Our Goddess Scholarship Fund sends one woman per year on a retreat with Mind Over Mountains. It’s our way of honoring women who sacrifice for their families, neighbors, and communities; women who perform good deeds large and small; women who act without expectation of recognition.

Do you know a goddess? To nominate a woman please send us a story of 500 words or less describing a woman you know whose life would be enhanced by the outdoors. Please send all nominations by April 30, 2008 to: isisfund@isisforwomen.com.

Her mother. His sister. Her friend. His wife. Herself. The group at the base of Mt. Shasta is there for different reasons but the same cause. Climb Against the Odds is a daunting fundraiser, a test that requires grace, bravery, and strength - the same qualities breast cancer ignites in the people it impacts.

The Breast Cancer Fund fights back by seeking to eliminate the environmental causes of the disease. The determined women who run the organization work to eradicate unsafe cosmetics, dangerous environmental substances and other proven links to breast cancer.

The climb spans 14, 612 vertical feet to a snow-covered summit. Each year, we carefully outfit the team in winter gear with the features they need to battle cold, ice, wind, and even falling boulders.

It takes strength to fight breast cancer. It takes strength to Climb Against the Odds. And we’re proud to support the fighters and the climbers however we can.

Only on a Best of Both Adventures journey will you participate in, not one, but a range of activities that let you tap into your potential and experience a trip of a lifetime.  Patagonia, Panama, Puerto Rico, Kenya.  Join us for a trip of a lifetime.

The mission of Medicine’s Global is simple – to inspire adventure travelers to give back to the places they visit by delivering small amounts of basic first aid supplies to designated medical clinics and community health posts along their journeys.

Janice and Johana Belson are a dynamic mother-daughter pair who run this organization. They feel that everybody deserves a band-aid and antibacterial cream, even those in the most remote regions of the world. So each year they take a team of Youth Ambassadors from inner city LA to Nepal to deliver hundreds of supplies to remote villages.

The Borealis Paddling Expedition began as a collaborative vision of five young women. Their passion for wilderness travel prompted a three-month canoe expedition through the remote Barrenlands of Nunavut, Canada to raise money in support of wilderness trips for other young people. They raised over $50,000 during their first trip and have sent one at-need camper to Camp Manito-wish each summer since.

Their second journey will begin this June as they paddle from the Great Slave Lake in the Northwest Territories to the Arctic Ocean. They’ll encounter many challenges as they transition through different landscapes, navigate by map and compass, and camp for 2 months.

For more information and to track their journey please visit their website www.borealispaddlingexpedition.com.
